Oh wow, I could say a ton on this topic. :) Let's see...I'm a college student with a major in journalism and a minor in family and consumer sciences. I am very blessed to have a very wise and caring mom and dad and two loving older sisters. :) But the most important part of my life is Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would not have any reason to live. He should be the center of everything I do because He died for me on the cross so I would not have to pay for my punishment of sin. He paid that punishment for me and because of that, I owe Him my life in service to Him. I like to call myself "a princess in training" because I'm learning to serve my King, Jesus Christ, the best way I can.

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Krissa's blog! :) This is going to be so cool! :) Anyway, just to introduce myself, I live in the U.S. and I'm a college student (oh yeah!!) with a major in journalism.

So what's with the blog name "a purple lily among thorns" you might wonder? Well, purple is my favorite color and lilies are my passion. :) I am a Christian and by that I mean I know I am a sinner and Jesus Christ died on the cross and gave of His precious blood to take away my sins, then came alive again three days later! (I Cor. 15:3-4) And if I believe on Him then I am saved and am His Child. (John 3:16). So it is my desire to be a "lily" or a light to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior and teach others how to live a life as a "lily among thorns." Teens and purity are two of my passions--put those two together and you have one big ministry!! :)

I'm working part time this summer as an intern reporter at my local newspaper. It's super cool, but sometimes super stressful. It's great experience though, and it's been so much fun to get to know people and learn about the town I've lived in all my life! :)

I have tons of hobbies and stuff I love to do, but I'll talk about those in a later post. For now, just remember that I love chatting with people so please write comments all you want. :)

Okay, I'm going to look around a bit more at this sight and figure everything out, so I'll say 'night for now.
