about purplegirl
Oh wow, I could say a ton on this topic. :) Let's see...I'm a college student with a major in journalism and a minor in family and consumer sciences. I am very blessed to have a very wise and caring mom and dad and two loving older sisters. :) But the most important part of my life is Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would not have any reason to live. He should be the center of everything I do because He died for me on the cross so I would not have to pay for my punishment of sin. He paid that punishment for me and because of that, I owe Him my life in service to Him. I like to call myself "a princess in training" because I'm learning to serve my King, Jesus Christ, the best way I can.

hey hey hey! :)

Wow...that sounds a bit like Fat Albert. ;) hmmm...I'm trying to think of different greetings so I don't get monotonous, but it's obviously not going so hot. :)

okay, so I'm on this crazy Andy Griffith kick. Whenever I get home from work, I'm craving to watch an Andy Griffith show. Is that random or what? :) I better get out of that habit. I won't have that luxury when I go back to school! :)

Speaking of which, I have mixed thoughts about going back to BJ. I can't wait to see all my friends again, but there are a few other...err...things I'm really not looking forward to. One of course is classes. I so dread taking another French class! One more semester of that and I'm going to bust...or so I wish. :) Anything is better than "parlez-vousin' francaisin'." ;) Don't ever repeat that to a French person--they'd die because of the American-spin on it. lol :)

Wow, I am in such a bad mood tonight. I think I need to go to bed early or something. lol, maybe I'll just not go into work tomorrow? I'm serious when I say that job wants to totally rob me of any cheerfulness I have as soon as I walk through those doors. I can't decide whether it's the work environment (i.e. nobody talks to each other and there's an underlying tone of animosity) or whether it's the job itself (i.e. interviews, typing up stories, ethical issues etc.) Hmmmm...that'll take some thinking. I think maybe it's a combo of the two. We'll see...in the meantime it's good experience! :) Sometimes it's hard to look at it that way, though. :)

On a more cheerful note, :) it's comforting to know that God directs our steps. A verse that I read earlier this month when I was struggling was Psalm 34:5, "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." So there's two commands for us: commit and trust--when we do that, He promises to "bring it to pass." Wow, what an awesome God we serve!! :)

Take care, ya'll,
call or e-mail whenever you feel like talkin'! :)
